THE REGION

Rosario and its surrounding area has traditionally been a region with a remarkable industrial and commercial activity. It is part of the most important production corridor of Argentina. Rosario is strategically located on the right margin of the Paraná River, in the South East point of the Province of Santa Fe, only 300 kilometers from Buenos Aires.

Rosario is the industrial, commercial and financial center of the most important agricultural and cattle productive area of the country, known as the "Pampa Húmeda". Rosario is also the most important oilseed crushing area in the world. Due to its geographical situation, Rosario is turning to become the strategic center of the bi-oceanic connection which links Río Grande Do Sul (Brazil), on the Atlantic Ocean, and Valparaíso (Chili), on the Pacific Ocean. Thus, the Great Rosario hinterland constitutes a vital communication node between the Mercosur countries, it being also crossed by the main commercial routes.

For these strategic reasons, many national and international corporations have chosen Rosario as the place for their businesses and investments. In the recent years the area received more than 500 private investment projects for an aggregate amount of more than US$ 3,000 MM.
